Toys, Toys and More Toys!

Some of the new toys at Little Stars this term, thanks to the generosity of the Shamley Green Village Fete Committee and others.

Little Stars & Messy Church Summer BBQ

Anna and Peter Souster lent us their beautiful, colourful garden (with the flower beds neatly edged) to host our end of year party. The day dawned sunny and warm, Sue Willis had brought the food, and Valerie, Jan C, Florence, Joelle & Margaret had made the salads. All that was needed were two professional BBQ chefs (Neil & Alison), a baker (Tom), some garden games and then we were ready.

At 12.30pm the families started to arrive, and soon the party of 37 adults and 19 children was in full swing.

All that was left was for the dads to organise the team games!

However, having been given two buckets, one empty at one end of the lawn and another full of water at the other end with a beaker, it appeared they were somewhat at a loss regarding the aim of the race! I must admit they did redeem themselves when the marker rope was used instead for a tug of war game. Far more fun!

My thanks go to all who came, helped, organised and cleared up. We could not have done it without you. Look forward to seeing you in September.
